What is Print on Demand (POD)?

Print on Demand (POD) is a smart business model where products such as T-shirts, mugs, posters, canvas etc. are only printed once an order is placed. This offers several advantages:

  • No minimum orders
  • No upfront inventory
  • Low risk – You only pay for production after making a sale.
  • Custom designs – You can sell artwork, photos, or text on various products.
  • Hassle-free fulfillment – The POD provider handles printing, packaging, and shipping directly to the customer.

Print on Demand providers:

  • Printify  – connects sellers to multiple print providers worldwide, allowing for flexibility and competitive pricing across 1,300+ product options. Visit the store – A Migo Design.

  • Gelato – specializes in local production, ensuring fast fulfillment in over 32 countries, which reduces shipping times and costs. Contact me to order prints on this side or custom prints.

A bit of history

Back in the 1980s, I ran a studio specializing in screen printing. Graphic design was a very different process back then—before digital tools took over, everything was done manually. I worked with paste-up layouts, pen and paper designs, and Letraset transfers, crafting visuals in a hands-on way. The evolution of design from these traditional methods to modern digital formats has been an incredible journey!

Skateboarder, Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia

Hide and Seek, Meo Hilltribe children, Thailand
(Original watercolor painting, size 55×40 cm)

A tender moment from Northern Thailand, where Meo hilltribe children play hide and seek, their eyes focused on the wooden wall in front of them.
